What can I say about Mr. Hiatt? It all started one
evening in University when I was watching Dave
Letterman and he introduced a fellow
Indiana-ite. The rest is history...
Having heard the name John Hiatt many
times over the years I
decided to stay up a bit later and listen. That night John sang something
about a Perfectly Good
Guitar. I had never heard the song before but man, was it good. The
next day I headed straight down to Sam The Record Man on Yonge
Street and bought the CD. It blew me away....especially Angel. I remember
it was a cold and snowy day and I slipped it in my CD Walkman and jumped
on the bus and headed back home to Niagara.
Within a month I had bought every domestic
John Hiatt CD available in Southern Ontario. Every year when the
snow falls for the first time the first 2 cd's I listen to are PGG
and Southside Johnny's "Better Days"!
Over the past 10 years I have seen John perform over half a dozen times,
I met him 3 times and have had pictures taken with him, Nancy and some of
the band.

Rose walks to the kitchen then she fills her coffee cup. And thinks of how the mornings used to greet her. But now it's just another day and harder to get up, and it breaks her heart to think that no one needs her. Rose
